The blue screen came from an unstable overclock on the CPU as my temps ran too high while I was playing a game.Īt idle with oc genie on in the msi bios it has brought my CPU from 3.5ghz to 4.00ghz and now my idle temps went from 30 degrees to about 42 degrees upping my max load to about 50-60 degrees depending on my room temperature. I have already overclocked my graphics card prior to dabbling in the CPU over clocking. Tommy (Solarstarshines) knows a lot about AMD GPU`s maybe he could give you some advice, and he also knows alot about OCing It's just personal preference I've never liked Nvidia cards.

MSI Z97 GAMING 7 LOCKED CPU SPEED UPDATE
UPDATE : It was alright until I started playing Titanfall 2 I was able to play for 10 minutes and then a new match for a minute and I got a blank blue screen with nothing on it and I reset everything back to default in BIOS.Ĭorsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM set as a frequency of 1866mhz I did a bit of reading and installed some programs including cpu-z just to confirm my settings after I tinkered around in my BIOS, I believe I achieved 4.2GHZ I didn't change much in my bios other than setting the frequency to about 4200mhz I didn't adjust the voltage I left it at 1.200 I am uncertain if I should bump it up to 1.3 or just leave it as is. However overclocking is just something I have never dabbled in myself so I am looking to the guidance of those who are familiar in it, I am currently trying to get the most out of my processor at this point because I feel like I get poor performance from my games even though my system isn't a horrible set up.
